Yes, the Pond House is available for day use and makes a lovely gathering spot for the wedding party. It's a small one-bedroom space with a kitchenette and a deck overlooking the pond, and the wedding party is welcome to use it however works best for you. Just note it's not set up as a dedicated bridal suite; there's no makeup table or vanity area, but it's a comfortable, private place to relax, gather, and enjoy the view before and after the ceremony.

Yes, beer, wine, and champagne may be allowed at private weddings with prior approval from Friday’s Retreat. A responsible adult must oversee alcohol service, and alcohol may not be served to minors or visibly intoxicated guests. If you would like to serve hard alcohol, you must hire a licensed and insured bartender approved by Friday’s Retreat. All alcohol must stay within the approved event area and follow Friday’s Retreat policies.

Friday's Retreat is an outdoor mountain venue. July and August are typically our driest months with the most sunshine, making them popular choices for outdoor weddings.
Some couples choose to rent a tent for added peace of mind, and we've included several trusted rental companies on our preferred vendor list.
For smaller weddings of approximately 30 guests or fewer, we can also move your ceremony indoors to Lookout Lodge at no additional cost, provided the lodge is available.
40 Years of Weddings at Friday’s Retreat
Susan Callaghan - Your Host
My sister and I both got married here at Friday’s Retreat. I was married at the peninsula, and my sister was married at Cottonwood Creek by the cabin now known as Lookout Lodge.
We used picnic tables, and our family picked wildflowers for the bouquets and wedding decorations. Those simple, personal details are still some of our favorite memories.
Years later, my daughter was married on the peninsula, just as I was. Truely’s son was married here too, in a different location on the ranch. That is part of what makes Friday’s Retreat so special: couples can choose the setting that feels right for them. Recently, my cousin had a small, intimate wedding in Lookout Lodge.
Weddings at Friday’s Retreat have truly become part of our family story, and it is wonderful that more couples now have the chance to make their own special memories here.
