Where Nature Awaits Your Stay

Welcome to Friday’s RV Retreat and Fly Fishing Ranch, a family-owned campground and mountain getaway just six miles south of McCloud, California.

Since 1983, Friday’s has welcomed guests to experience the outdoors from the comfort of their RV, around a campfire, in one of our cabins, or in our yurt. Founded by Bob and Maylon Friday, the ranch continues as a welcoming, family-run destination beneath the beauty of Mount Shasta.

Conveniently located off Highway 89, Friday’s rests in a peaceful setting surrounded by open space, mountain views, and the sounds of Squaw Valley Creek flowing through the ranch.

Guests can enjoy fly-fishing ponds, nature trails, a dedicated RC airstrip for remote-control aircraft, a casual pickleball court, and exceptional stargazing under dark mountain skies. For hikers, the Squaw Valley Creek Trail turnoff is just 0.2 miles from the park and is a must-see.

McCloud Reservoir is only three miles away, making Friday’s the closest RV park and campground to fishing, boating, and outdoor adventure in the area.

FAQ

  • Nightly rates are $45 for tent sites, $62 for 30-amp RV sites, and $70 for 50-amp RV sites. Rates include 2 adults and 2 children, with a maximum of 5 guests per site. A 10% TOT tax applies.

    RV and Tent Sites

  • We use an online reservations service called RoverPass.

    Start by selecting the dates you would like to stay, for stays up to two weeks. From there, choose the stay type that works best for you, including RV sites, tent sites, cabins, or our yurt.

    RoverPass will then show available options and guide you through the reservation steps. We look forward to welcoming you to Friday’s Retreat.

  • Guests have access to restrooms, showers, a laundry room, and boat storage.

    Around the property, you’ll also find a gazebo next to a brook with views of Mount Shasta, shared deck areas, nature trails, a dedicated RC airstrip, and a fly-fishing pond available for a fee.

  • Dogs are welcome at RV and tent sites and must be kept on a leash at all times.

    Pets are not allowed in rentals, including cabins and the yurt.

    For the safety of our guests, we do not accept Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Mastiffs, Chows, or Wolf-mixes.

  • Friday’s Retreat is located off Highway 89, about six miles south of McCloud, California.

    When you reach the turnoff, the town of McCloud will be on one side of Highway 89, and the Chevron station will be on the other. Turn onto Squaw Valley Road on the Chevron side, then continue about six miles.

    Friday’s Retreat will be on the right.
